FPLC stands for Fast Protein Liquid Chromaography. This was the tradename for Pharmacia's biocompatible version of HPLC. In this method, the pressures were a bit lower, and the biocompatible materials included plastic tubing, glass pump cylinders and titanium in place of stainless steel for any remaining metal.
