A Word About

Calibration

Calibraiton is the process of comparing the reading of an instrument (something that measures a value) to a better characterized instrument (known as a standard) in order to verify and, if needed, adjust its measurement. In biopharmaceutical manufacturing, instruments measure a variety of values, including temperature, pressure, flow rate, weight, pH, dissolved oxygen concentration and ultraviolet light absorbance.
